Launceston: school bus arrangements for Thursday 6 April

The Department for Education, Children and Young People has advised that Thursday 6 April is a student-free day for state schools from kindergarten to grade 10 state-wide. The secondary colleges (Launceston & Newstead) are open as normal. Most Catholic and independent schools serviced by Metro are also open as normal.

Metro’s Launceston general public network will operate to the normal school term weekday timetable, with the following arrangements for school bus services:

Thursday 6 April ONLY

The following school bus services will not operate:

Routes 802PM, 804PM, 806PM, 812PM, 814PM, 815AM, 817AM, 818PM, 821AM, 824PM, 830PM, 832PM, 834PM, 843AM, 845AM, 849AM, 862PM, 864PM, 866PM and 868PM.

The following school bus services will operate to a modified timetable:

• Route 801AM from City to Brooks High & East Tamar Primary will terminate at St Finn Barr’s, Invermay Rd Stop 7 Out.
• Route 805AM from City to Brooks High will terminate at St Finn Barr’s, Invermay Rd Stop 7 Out.
• Route 809AM from Rocherlea to Invermay Primary will terminate opposite St Finn Barr’s, Invermay Rd Stop 7 In.
• Route 810PM from Invermay Primary to Alanvale, Rocherlea and Mayfield will commence from St Finn Barr’s, Invermay Rd Stop 7 Out.
• Route 811AM from Prospect Marketplace to St Leonards will terminate at Larmenier School. It will not stop at Queechy High School.
• Route 813AM from City to St Leonards schools will terminate at Larmenier School. It will not stop at Queechy High School.
• Route 816PM from Tamar Valley Steiner School to City via Penquite & Elphin Rds will pick up from Larmenier as normal but will not stop at Queechy High.
• Route 820PM from Queechy High to City via East Launceston will commence from Abbott St opposite St Thomas More’s Catholic School.
• Route 822PM from St Leonards to St Patrick’s College will commence from Larmenier School. It will not stop at Queechy High School.
• Route 835AM from North Riverside to St Patrick’s College will not stop at Prospect High School.
• Route 847AM from Trevallyn to Riverside schools will terminate at St Anthony’s Catholic School.
• Route 852PM from Prospect High and St Patrick’s College to City will commence from St Patrick’s College.
• Route 856PM from Sacred Heart to Blackstone Heights will not stop at Prospect High School.
• Route 860PM from St Anthony’s to City via North Riverside and Trevallyn will not stop at Riverside High School.

 

The following school bus services will operate as normal:

Route 826PM, 827AM, 829AM, 831AM, 833AM, 836PM, 837AM, 838PM, 840PM, 841AM, 842PM, 844PM, 846PM, 848PM, 850PM, 890PM, 891AM, 892PM and 893AM.
